Book Blog Hop and Follow Friday (Mar 25)

Book Blogger Hop

Welcome from Book Blog Hop hosted by Crazy for Books and Follow Friday hosted by Parajunkee!

If you could physically put yourself into a book or series…which one would it be and why?

Some opulent series maybe? I dunno too spacey to think.

Be sure to Enter the Giveaway for TWO Kindles

GIVE US FIVE BOOK RELATED SILLY FACTS ABOUT YOU.

1. I can't bear to have cracks in the spines of my books so I only crack open the books I read as far as I need to read them.
2. I used to read a lot of trashy romance and hid them in the third row of my books.
3. I like to arrange my books by book height rather than something people can logically follow... I promise myself that someday when I have more space, I will organize properly.
4. Depending on whether I started a series when it first came out or later on I have to buy the same binding because I like having the same look for all the books in a series. I will go out of my way to collect the same cover art type in a series too.
5. 1 More to come!

I do the same with my books, although it's by binding to keep the books of each height in a row! Already a follower! My FF is at Coffee Table Press

I'm here from the hop! (And I'm the same way about book bindings. I hate it when I lend out a book and it comes back with the spine cracked.) I'm your newest follower. I hope you'll come visit me at http://redhotbooks.blogspot.com

Great answers! Just stopping by from the hop!

Hey there! New follower here!

I hate the cracks in the spine too!

No more trashy romance novels? That's all I read...so with over 1,000 of them hanging around the house it's hard to hide them! lol

Happy Blog Hop Friday!

I do the same thing with book spines! It drives other people crazy.
My Hop

Greetings from OZ. I am now following courtesy of Follow Friday. I also have real problems with cracked book spines.

Pop down under and visit me at

Hey there. I am your newest follower and I have a lot in common with you when it comes to books! I hate cracked spines, I hate mismatched covers and I also arrange according to height (but I do have 4 areas on my bookcase and each area is a specific category as well, so it's double-organizing and both ways only make sense to me haha!). However, I never hid any trashy romance on my third row, but I think that fact about you is so funny and cute! Thanks for sharing it. :)

Anyway, please follow me as well if you have some time. (^_^)

Thanks and happy reading!

You are my kind of book lover!!LOL...I can't stand a spine crease in my poor books. I also organize my books according to size and series. They all have to have the same look as well. Picky are we not!

Thanks for stopping by and for the follow! I am now following you back. I hope you have a great weekend!

I definitely agree with 1, 3 and 4. I plan to start doing 4 more often.

1,3 and 4 are so me LOL. Especially 1 ;)

My Hop

Coming through on the blog hop. Enjoy your weekend.

I can relate to your facts! I don't crack spines, I organize by height, and I hate having mismatched books! :)

3 and 4 are totally me, too! haha
I just bothers me for the heights to be all jumbled!
Thanks for stopping by to read my Hop answers! =)

I'm the same way about spines. Makes reading mass market paperbacks a real pain! I also like organizing by height. I can find everything I need (it's easy when you're crazy and have a database of your books...)

Your Number 1 is my Number 1! I hate to hurt my poor books spines! I forgot to put it in mine, but I have all the paperbacks on my bookshelf, and the hardbacks on top of my bookcase! Not really by, height, but more or less the same. And I love to have all the same covers as well!
Awesome silly book facts!
Old follower hoppin' on by, and have a good weekend!
The Book Addicted Girl

I am definitely with you on Number 1 and I love to have all my Print books the same, as well!

I guess all of us book lovers can be a little quirky, that's what makes us all so special :o]

The Book Faery's FF

I'm also very careful with my book spines. It actually pains me when someone "breaks" a paperback in.

Have a great weekend!

LOL! I do mine by book height within each author, and then alphabetically within sizes. It's a crazy complex system, but it works for me. So i'm ok with that!
new follower! :)

I already stalk you, ha ha ha! But I still wanted to come by and say I hope you have a fantastic weekend

Tena @Crazy Book Slut

Doesn't everyone arrange their books by height? I've always done that.

I could have sworn I followed you already! I hate when that happens, I think google messed up or something. Anyway, following you now.

I'm careful with my spines too. Also I prefer my books to be by size rather then by author or series, etc. It's pretty impossible cause some books in series aren't the same size and it drives me crazy! I also like all my books to have the same cover art style, but I have to force myself to let it go cause I can't buy that many books to have the perfect collection.

My bookshelves are organized in a manner only I can understand.. it's by theme, but theme as determined by ME.. like books I read while on the beach, or the group of books that I saved just for when my daughter is old enough to read them (grouped together) etc. :-)

My husband likes to organize our books by book height too. He also does it by topic. I do mine by author and series. It makes for a very eclectic style of organization, lol.

Stopping by to say hi via the Hop. Not sure I'd join in an opulent book. What if I was a servant during those times instead of a queen? (Or does one have a choice?)

Here's my post for this hop. Hope you will stop by. I always follow back.
