Book Blog Hop & Follow Friday (Dec 10)

Book Blogger Hop

Welcome from Book Blog Hop hosted by Crazy for Books and Follow Friday hosted by Parajunkee!

What is the thing you like most about reading book blogs? Is it the reviews, author guest posts, articles, giveaways, or something else entirely?

Definitely meeting the other bloggers is the best part. The books help too though ^.^

Angelfire by Courtney Allison Moulton
The Book Thief by Markus Zusak

Do you have an under-noticed author that you think we should all know about?

Ted Chiang
He has only published short stories and novellas so far, but what he has published is amazing. His genre is sci-fi. You can read one of his short stories called Exhalation for free here!

You can get his latest novella called The Lifecycle of Software Objects from Subterranean Press ( once it sells out, it's gone, also I am not affiliated with Subterranean Press). I wrote a review of this novella that you can also check out here.

Third Sentence Thursday sounds so cool! Nice pick on the author! i hope you are having a lovely friday and i love the tree in your header!!

Hmm, I'll check it out. As for our question. I don't believe it's for readers under 16. But there are definitely mature 16 year old's however, the book is deep.

Hopping through. Thanks for dropping by my blog!
My Hop

Howdy from the hop!

I have a hard time getting into sci-fi, but I think I can do short stories. Thanks for mentioning that author to me.

I'll have to check this author out. I love sci fi. Thanks for the recommendation.

I was a die-hard Star Wars fan, way back before it was cool, but I never got into other sci-fi that much - I loved the Taken miniseries that was on Sci-fi in the early 2000s when Dakota Fanning was around 8 or 9.

Hey, just hopping on by! Happy Friday. :)

I'm already a follower! I have never heard of him. I will have to check him out! My hop is at Coffee Table Press

Hello there is one author I have found that will be a good read and that is C.Lynn Barton. I am a follower come check out my blog and follow me at Outhouse Reviews

I'm hopping by to say hello! Hope to see you pop by my blog:-)

I really like your blog, and I like that you write shorter reviews. Most days I don't have time to read the longer reviews, cause I got too much book reading to do. I'm a new follower.

I haven't heard of either of your favorite authors, so I will have to look them up!

Have a great weekend!

Julie (Manga Maniac Cafe)

I chose Kailin Gow. She's still not really well known yet. Have you heard of her? I have some of her covers on my blog.

@uniquelymoi Nope, haven't heard of her ^.^

@Brenda I'm glad you like my format!

@Kimberly I actually read one of Barton's books and didn't enjoy it,

@Missie Ted does great stories in short story style! You can love his characters even though they don't have as much screen time as in an epic or full-length novel.

Hi. Found you from the hop, and I am your newest follower. I hope you will drop by and follow back at openbookemptycup.blogspot.com

Cheers!!

Hop! I've never heard of Ted Chiang. Thanks for putting him on my radar!

I found you through the Hop and am looking forward to participating in Third Sentence Thursday!
