Fuzzy Nation RELEASE!

Hey hey! John Scalzi has a new book out today called Fuzzy Nation! I haven't read it yet, but Scalzi generally has great books so... you should check it out ^.^ It's a sci-fi piece that is a reboot of Little Fuzzy by H. Beam Piper (I also haven't read this one >.>).

Synopsis of Fuzzy Nation (taken from Goodreads):

It's a classic case of good news, bad news. Independent contractor Jack Holloway helps cause a cliff collapse, which gets him fired from his partnership; but the accident reveals a vein of valuable jewels, which gets him rehired and promises to make him rich. Alcatraz versus the Shattered Lens Release!

This is the last book in Brandon Sanderson's middle school series, which has been delightful so far. Librarians are the enemy! You should really pick up the first one if you haven't read it Alzatraz versus the Evil Librarians.

There aren't any big release events, but Brandon will sign any of his books at signing events of which there are many for Wheel of Time and now his new series The Stormlight Archives.

There have also been reports that copies can already be found in select stores so call ahead if you go out looking for it today.

Matched Released!

Matched comes out tomorrow! This is one of the most highly anticipated fantasy YA books this year. I was lucky enough to get a copy of an ARC thought not from a publisher so you can read my review and decide for yourself if you want to go out and get a copy.

Update on Mistborn Novella

Brandon Sanderson says the Mistborn novella will be published by Tor sometime next year! This we there will actually be something published next year from Sanderson, and I"m super-excited!

Towers of Midnight Release!

Towers of Midnight aka A Memory of Light 2 aka 2nd to last book in Wheel of Time (or also book 13 of WoT) comes out tomorrow (Nov 2nd incidentally also election day)!

According to Sanderson, some crazy fan has been in line for the release party at BYU Bookstore since last Thursday!

Incidentally, I could never get very far in Wheel of Time (I read through book 5), but I love Brandon Sanderson so much excitement to be had!
