Third Sentence Thursday is a weekly meme which is being invaded this week by multiple sentences!

In honor of the fact that I just got back from BEA and that the first box of books I mailed home has arrived, I'm going to be posting 3 third sentences from books in that box that I'm really excited about reading!

"It's what I love." -The Sweetest Thing by Christine Mandelski

That statement is about cakes, and I am already in love with this book because I'm a total sucker for cakes!


"Thick, black hair hung low over his forehead, shadowing his eyes" -The Faerie Ring

Ooh do we have a sexy guy in our story already or perhaps just an ominous villain? Loving the description of this book so I hope to get to reading this soon ^.^


"There the migration splits." -The Dervish House by Ian McDonald

I have to say, that's actually a pretty cryptic third sentence. It's talking about birds and for some reason all the surrounding sentences are ridiculously long but the third one is incredibly short heh~~ Ian has been getting a LOT of accolades for this book so I'm hoping it's good!
