Book Blog Hop & Follow Friday

Book Blogger Hop

Hosted by Crazy For Books.

This week's question comes from Vicki who blogs at The Wolf's Den:

"What are your feelings on losing followers? Have you ever stopped following a blog?"

I haven't exactly been around long enough to be losing followers... I've barely been around long enough to gain followers, but I'd probably be sad-ish. Although if I'm not interesting enough or relevant, I guess it would be inevitable.

I've stopped subscribing to blogs. I think that counts. Sometimes people stop posting (some friends' personal blogs), some blogs have so many updates as to be overwhelming (New York Times), or sometimes I lose interest in a subject so I stop a subscription.

Follow Friday is hosted by Parajunkee.

Question for this follow Friday: Who are your favorite authors??

Jacqueline Cary the dee-lightful author of the Kushiel's Legacy Series, John Scalzi, Brandon Sanderson, JK Rowling, Tamora Pierce, Fred Gallagher

Just stopping by through Follow Friday. JK Rowling is a good pick.

I am a new follower. Hope you stop by my blog at http://irresistiblereads.blogspot.com/

Just popping in via the hop to say hi! I'm a huge JK Rowling fan as well, Harry Potter will always be one of my favorite series. I'm a new follower here and I hope you have a great weekend!

It's hard to not take losing a follower personal but you can't make everyone happy.

I'm your newest follower from the hop! You can check out my answers to this week's questions at Rabid Reads or follow me on Twitter. Have a great weekend!

I'm always a little bummed when I lose followers but make every effort to
turn every lost follower into a learning experience so I can improve my
performance.

On the flip side, I only stop following people when they give me a reason to
such as being totally off message or being too controversial in an negative,
over-the-top way.

Happy Book Blogger Hop Friday!

Hopping through. New follower. I want to try Tamora Pierce. Which Tamora Pierce book do you recommend I start with?

I think most of the blogs I've stopped following are ones that posted too much. It gets overwhelming, you know?

Glad to have found you via the Hop and FF. Have a great weekend!

Hopping by from Follow Friday. Just wondering if you liked/read Sanderson before he took over for Jordan? I am following you and would love it if you follow me back! Brandi from Blkosiner’s Book Blog

@Alison The best book to start with is Alanna: The First Adventure since well... it's the first book in Pierce's main universe. Then read the rest of the Alanna books (in order: In the Hand of the Goddess, The Woman Who Rides Like a Man, Lioness Rampant). I think her Alanna series is better than the Circle of Magic series.

@Brandeleigh2003 After, although I'm not a WoT fan. I heard of him through the taking over Jordan's work, and decided he was probably a good writer and tried his books out.

@Nic, Jenny, Carmel, Howard, Susan, Euphoria thanks for stopping by!
