Book Blog Hop and Follow Friday (Dec 17)

Book Blogger Hop

Welcome from Book Blog Hop hosted by Crazy for Books and Follow Friday hosted by Parajunkee!

Does anyone else really like to wrap presents? I find that there's a certain amount of satisfaction from it ^.^

What do you consider the most important in a story: the plot or the characters?

How can you choose the plot supports the characters and the characters support the plot o_0 I suppose if I absolutely had to choose I would choose the characters because I often remember more about them than the actual plot.

Week in Review!

Third Sentence Thursday featuring third sentence that reflects how you feel this week!

The Winner of Funniest Third Sentence was announced!

If you're a new blogger I have a guide with some info which may be helpful for you ^.^

What did you study in college, or are currently studying?

I'm slightly amused by this question because I mentioned what I was going to study in my Third Sentence Thursday post. I studied psychology for undergrad, but I'm switching over to Computer Science for grad school. Programming is just more fun, and well a lot more practical in the job market ^.^

Be sure to come back Saturday and Sunday for a review of Harvest Moon and the interview with the Author: Krista D. Ball!

Thanks for stopping by on our blog! I'm an old follower. ^_^

I'm an old follower :) Stopping by to say hello and happy holidays!

HI , old follower stopping by to wish you a Happy Holidays and hope Santa is good to you this year.

Good luck with your new career path!
I got a degree in biology and a teaching certification for English (as a language). I studied Journalism for a year but hated it so I dropped out and switched to Biology.

*g*

And go Team Character!!

Happy weekend,

Alex/AnimeGirl/DarthClavie

Oh, and I do like wrapping presents! Makes me feel accomplished even when I'm not all that tidy.

I agree the two go hand in hand.
Stopping by from the follow!

Happy HOP! This week's question wasn't so simple to answer but ultimately it was characters for me. That's where I make my connection to the story. Come HOP by The Bookish Snob

New follower and another one who majored in psych as an undergrad. But where can one find a job with only a psych undergrad degree????

Hiya! Happy hop :) Congrats on growing your follower list so rapidly - hope you are having fun with the blog.
I chose characters too - come see my answer over at e-Volving Books
-Dee

I didn't want to choose either. But, I chose plot over characters because the plot is why the characters interact with each other. But, the characters are what usually keep me reading and why I invest my time in the book.

I did not go to college, and I am currently retired. I worked for over 15 years in the secretarial division of Emery Air Freight in the 1960s and 1970s. I was a stay-at-home mom for the 1980s and 1990s, and now I am helping my daughter with her business, Tribute Books as the volunteer office manager.

I'm totally with plot. :) The most solid answer to this question but it's still on someone's preference. Anyway, read my answer in Clandestine Sanctuary.

I'm an old follower. Have a great weekend.

Just hopping by. Have a great weekend!

@animegirl thanks! Did you go anywhere to teach English?

@Betty yah psych is not that great for the job finding. You either go on to doing more school or you get a secretarial job for the most part heh.

Hi! Old Follower here. Computer Programming sounds fun!
Characters are my favorite part of a book-especially the hot male love interest :) But seriously though-to me they make the story. I have to care about the characters for me to continue reading.
Hope you have a great weekend :)

Thanks for hopping by. Good luck with computer programming. My son wants to learn to program, but he's still too young (middle school). He has plenty of time yet before he has to pick something. Your guide to the blogosphere is very helpful. Thank you for compiling it!

Hopping back and I LOVE to wrap presents. More than I like shopping for them - which I don't enjoy at all.
Off to follow your blog.

Thanks for stopping by my blog. I love yours! :-)

Dear Mr. Sherman,

Please don't copy and paste on every single site.

Hey
thanks for visiting my blog and to answer your question in my school when we have to take science which is three lessions a week one bio, one chem and one phis lessons a week but if you take double science you get two bio, two chem and two phis lessons a week. And as well if you want to study bio, chem or phis after we are allowed to leave school at 16 them you have to take double science to contiue studing for two more years until your 18 to do A level exams and those exams count when you apply for university.
Does that make more sense?

Thanks for hopping by! Have a great weekend!

Thank you for visiting!
You are completely right. Books should have both a good plot and good characters. They just go together, and it would make little sense to choose one or the other.
Have a lovely weekend!

No...I don't like wrapping presents. :)

I love to look at blog designs.

Hopping by from the blog hop.

Stop by my blog to see my answer to this week's question.

Also check out a design site I found...pretty neat home decorating ideas...it is in the right side panel on my blog.

Happy Holidays!!

Hey! Thanks for visiting The Window Seat Reader. I'm finishing up my psychology undergrad and hopefully will go to grad school somewhere... but I totally understand what ya mean about the job market practicality! I hope programming works out.

That's so cool that you're taking the CS path from a background in Psych. Have you always had an interest in doing so, or was this a later decision? Either way, I'm excited that you're "going for it." It is indeed a scary venture, not just switching academic gears but doing so from one end of the spectrum to the next! :o) I really wish you the best of luck in this...and hope you update about it as you go along. ^_^

Cheers!
Alisha

@Bailey and Alisha Thanks! I will give updates ^.^
